The Development Bank of Namibia views the mining sector, quarrying and related industries as economic components that are vital to ongoing economic activities in Namibia, by creating employment and generating revenue

Structured, responsive finance for larger projects
The Bank structures finance for mining enterprises to ensure that it promotes long-term viability.
It cooperates with applicants to develop a deep understanding of business models and enterprise milestones, so that it can develop viable financing models that take sustainability, risk and growth into account.
SMEs
The Bank defines SMEs as enterprises with an annual turnover of less than N$10 million. SME start-ups and expansion plans can be serviced by the DBN SME Centre in Windhoek, or by its offices in Ongwediva, Rundu and Walvis Bay.
