Although we are an organisation as diverse as Namibia itself, we achieve unity through the Bank's Code of Conduct which informs our behaviour as a bank and as individuals. By noting the 10 points in our Code of Conduct we provide a basis for our stakeholders to meaningfully assess our intent, decisions and activities.
- We do what is best for our Bank, Namibia and our planet.
- We treat others as we want to be treated by them, the golden rule.
- We abide by the values, policies and procedures of the laws of our country and the universal human principles of all that is good and just.
- We are honest, reliable, fair and open in everything we say, write and do and accept responsibility for the consequences.
- We value and respect the diversity of beliefs, cultures, convictions and habits of the people of our bank and the country in which we operate.
- We protect our Bank’s assets, information and reputation.
- We disclose any real or perceived situation where our private interests or the interests of a member of our immediate or extended family or other person close to us may interfere with the interests of our Bank.
- We do not give or receive gifts or benefits in contravention of the policies of our Bank and no gift, irrespective of value, should influence our business decisions.
- We seek new, better and more innovative ways to do our work and do it to the utmost of our abilities.
- We do not remain silent in the face of dishonesty, malice, disrespect, intolerance or injustice.
