Structured, responsive finance for larger projects

The Bank structures finance for mining enterprises to ensure that it promotes long-term viability.

It cooperates with applicants to develop a deep understanding of business models and enterprise milestones, so that it can develop viable financing models that take sustainability, risk and growth into account.

The Bank defines SMEs as enterprises with an annual turnover of less than N$10 million. SME start-ups and expansion plans can be serviced by the DBN SME Centre in Windhoek, or by its offices in Ongwediva, Rundu and Walvis Bay.

For enterprises with less complex requirements DBN provides a range of financing products that may include:

  • Installment sales agreements (vehicles and other assets)

  • Term loans

  • Property development finance (warehouses, offices, etc.)

  • Performance guarantees

  • Contract (tender) based finance

  • Management buy-ins and buy-outs
