SENIOR PORTFOLIO REVIEW ANALYST
Reporting to the Head: Lending, the Senior Portfolio Review Analyst is responsible to ensure that project implementation or project operations are monitored to ensure the detection of early warning signs and to implement corrective measures with the objective of ensuring project sustainability and eventually loan repayment.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Assist the Portfolio Managers to effectively manage, monitor and evaluate the performance of the loan account holders in the relevant portfolio.
Ensure that the bank’s risks are mitigated by being proactive to detect any possible risk factors before they occur, and to safeguard the bank against any potential risk exposure.
Perform business reviews or assessments, including site visits, financial analysis, valuations, financial modeling,
risk analysis and sector or industry analysis, on loan account holders.
Review the company documents of loan account holders, including financial statements, forecasts, ratios of profitability, liquidity and cash flow, working capital, etc. to establish the status quo of the financial position of these companies taking into consideration current economic factors and any complex issues that may require remedial plans.
Draft review reports and present to decision-making committees.
Draft correspondence to clients and follow-up on action required.
Maintain updated information on loans and economic factors, conduct analyses and produce standardized and/ or ad-hoc reports, including restructuring reports, rescheduling reports, variation reports, etc.
Coordinate site visits to monitor compliance with specific agreed conditions and to assess the progress over time on larger projects.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS
At least a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Commerce or Accounting.
At least 5 years’ experience in dealing with project management or project finance preferably within a financial institution.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer orientation/focus and resilience. Interpersonal sensitivity and effective team worker. Attention to detail.
Excellent analytical, evaluation and organizing skills.
